Why wait
until your equipment arrives on-site to discover potential
problems? Why not have the units configured and tested
before they reach your site? Wouldn’t it be nice to remove
the terminals from a box, insert the batteries, turn the
units on, and have them connect to your host right away?
Wireless Islan can provide these services for you. At our
Prince Edward Island facilitie, we have a staging area
used to completely configure and test terminals to ensure
minimal intervention from the customer. We will configure
client software for the units, create disk images, burn-in
units and certify radio connectivity. We will save the
customer's configuration in our archives for future
staging or customer emergencies.
During configuration, we will document serial numbers, MAC
addresses, unit addresses, and TCP/IP addresses, if used.
We will also label the units as requested by the customer.
When you receive the units, you will also receive a master
listing containing all of the information described above.
If WI has done the network installation, the master list
will be included in your site documentation.
